Poco X5 5G likely to feature Snapdragon chipset, Poco X5 Pro to arrive as Redmi Note 12 SE rebranded – Times of India

Poco is set to expand its X-series lineup with the launch of two new smartphones – X5 and X5 Pro – in India and global markets. The smartphones are expected to launch in India in the first quarter of 2023. However, ahead of the launch, the chipset that would power the smartphone has surfaced online.
According to a report by tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the Poco X5 5G is expected to launch in China under the Redmi Note 12 5G branding while the smartphone could arrive as a Poco handset in India and other global markets. The smartphone has been codenamed as ‘moonstone’ and packs the same storage as the global variant of Redmi Note 12 5G, the tipster added.

Poco X5 5G will reportedly come powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset whereas the Redmi variant (China) features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset.
Poco X5 5G: Expected specifications
Poco X5 5G is likely to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display panel with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to pack up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device is expected to be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging support. The 5G-enabled smartphone could sport a 48MP dual sensor and an 8MP front sensor.

Poco X5 Pro: Expected specifications
According to the tipster, Poco X5 Pro is said to debut as the rebranded version of Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition launched in China earlier this week. The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120HZ refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. For images, Redmi Note 12 Pro SE has a 108MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP front sensor. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
