The POCO X5 Pro launched in two storage variants – the base 6GB+128GB model is priced at Rs 22,999, and the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at Rs 24,999. On the other hand, the Nothing Phone (1) was launched in three storage variants – 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB – priced at Rs 31,999, Rs 34,999, and Rs 37,999, respectively.

However, the Nothing Phone (1) has been available at a starting price of Rs 29,999 since some time on Flipkart and has hit a low of Rs 25,999 in recent times, putting it in a similar price bracket.

Design

In terms of design, the POCO X5 Pro features a punch-hole cutout in the centre to house a selfie shooter on the front with narrow bezels. The volume keys and a fingerprint sensor – embedded in the power button – are placed on the right edge. On the back, the smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup on the camera island placed on the top portion, giving it a dual-tone design. A 3.5mm audio jack and an IR blaster are placed on the top edge. The bottom edge has a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, SIM tray, and microphone.

Meanwhile, the back of the Nothing Phone (1) is transparent and has five LED strips that the company calls the ‘Glyph Interface.’ The latter is a unique LED lighting system that will give customers a variety of light-based alerts based on notifications, calls, and more. In this smartphone, you will find a punch-hole display on the left side of the screen, volume keys on the left edge, a power button on the right, a microphone on the top edge, a speaker grille, a SIM tray, and a USB Port at the bottom edge. The phone uses an optical fingerprint scanner, which is placed under the display.

The newly launched POCO X5 Pro sports a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM Dimming, 900nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer. Meanwhile, Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch full HD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 402PPI, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness.

Camera

The POCO X5 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 6P lens, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. A 16MP selfie camera is available on the front.

On the other hand, the Nothing Phone (1) offers a dual rear camera setup consisting of two 50MP cameras, with the primary offering optical stabilisation and the second using an ultra-wide lens. It has a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

Chipset and Battery

The mid-ranger POCO X5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset with Adreno 642L GPU for graphics, and the Nothing Phone (1) is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset.

In terms of battery, the POCO X5 Pro houses a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, and the Nothing Phone (1) packs a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging, along with 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.

Connectivity

The connectivity features of the POCO X5 include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The Nothing Phone (1) comes with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB-C port.
