Design-wise, the biggest changes are on the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus. These two phones now have individual camera cutouts on the back, which makes them look more similar to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Likewise, the color options are the same across all three phones, which is something we (surprisingly) haven’t seen too often from Samsung. Inside, the phones have the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which has been fine-tuned specifically for these phones.

Overall, these are now the flagship 2023 Android phones to beat. But what do you think about them?

On the one hand, Samsung didn’t make too many big changes this year. The camera systems are pretty much the same, with only the Ultra’s upgrade to a 200MP main sensor being somewhat notable. RAM counts are the same, display specs are mostly the same, and there weren’t too many thrilling software features announced.

On the other hand, the few upgrades Samsung did include are significant. There are bigger batteries for the Samsung Galaxy 23 and S23 Plus, and the Plus and Ultra models now start with twice as much internal storage. The displays have the same basic specs as last year but now have a ludicrous peak brightness of 1,750 nits. When you combine all this with the lack of a change in US pricing, you have a pretty formidable lineup.

Let us know how you feel about these phones in the poll above. Be sure to leave some comments explaining your choice, too.
