The first public release of the Android operating system was Android 1.0. By Android version 1.5, Google had adopted sweet treat codenames, with v1.5 becoming Cupcake.

Since Android 1.0, we’ve seen 19 major upgrades for the operating system, including the most recent one, Android 12. Out of all those releases, which one has been your favorite? In our poll below, you can let us know how you feel.

Honeycomb was an interesting release since it was only for tablets. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was also a dramatic shift for the look and feel of the operating system. Oreo was also a bit of a shift in aesthetics. But Android 12 probably takes the cake (pun intended) as far as big changes to how Android looks.
