The rumours and leaks surrounding the launch of the Redmi K50 series of smartphones have been popping up on the internet for quite some time now. The Redmi K50 lineup, which is likely to feature the vanilla Redmi K50, a Pro variant, and a Pro Plus variant, is said to launch sometime during Q4, 2021. Today, some of the specifications of an upcoming Redmi smartphone, which could very well belong to the Redmi K50 series, have been leaked.
Possible Redmi K50-series smartphone specifications leaked
The alleged specifications of the Redmi K50 series phone have been leaked by a Chinese tipster, who goes by the screen name Panda is Bald. As per the tipster, the upcoming Redmi phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G processor. A 5,000mAh battery will keep the lights of the device on and the device is said to feature 67W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
In terms of photography, the upcoming Redmi smartphone is tipped to sport a 108MP main camera. Plus, there will be a 3X telephoto lens, if this report is to be believed. That said, the source is unsure of the 3X telephoto as of now, so we might as well take it with a slight grain of salt till the time things become officially clear. Moreover, the device is said to come with a 20MP selfie camera.
Coming to the display of the device, the tipster claims that the upcoming Redmi device will feature a 1080p curved display. So far, there is no word as to what kind of display the device will incorporate, but word has it that the device will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.
