pubg: You can play PUBG on PC for free for a full week, here’s how – Times of India

PUBG: Battlegrounds, previously known as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, is free to play on Steam from August 10 to August 16. For this week, anyone can go to Steam and download the game from there whether they own the game on the platform or not. And should you choose to buy the game anytime later, all the progress you made during the free gaming week– the missions, stats etc.–will be carried over.
The PUBG free week is only for the Steam version of the game. Also, the game progress you make in this week will be carried over to your purchased game only if you purchased the game with the same Steam account.

Also, PUBG Corporation has some special events in store for the new players that join. The free week makes for some interesting cosmetic rewards in the game, most of which are parts of apparel. If you manage to travel 600m in total by parachute, then you’ll get a Sleeveless Cheetah Top. A ledge grab over obstacles twice will earn you a Utility Belt (Brown) and using emotes 2 times to express an emotion in a single match gets you a Rugged (Beige) – M16A4. If you are able to survive for 200 mins in total. (Includes the time you spent spectating your teammate in duo/squad mode) will get you a Wrangler Shirt. If you manage to loot 300 items in total, you will be rewarded with Wide Pants (Red).
PUBG PC has come under a lot of backlash from players who have complained about the problems of cheaters in the game. Let’s hope the new players have a good time with PUBG: Battlegrounds during the free week.
