qualcomm: Redmi Note 11 series with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets expected to launch early next year – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 11 series in China last month. The Redmi Note 11 series consist of three smartphones — Redmi Note 11 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. All the three smartphones are powered by MediaTek processors. Now, a new online report suggests that the company is planning to launch the Redmi Note 11 smartphone series with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors globally.
According to a Vietnamese publication, The Pixel, Xiaomi is said to launch the Redmi Note 11 series powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors globally in Q1, 2022. The report also adds that the smartphone maker is said to launch Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (Chinese variant) and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (Chinese variant) as the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge respectively in India. Apart from this, Redmi Note 11 5G (Chinese variant) which was recently launched as Poco M4 Pro 5G globally is said to launch in India as Redmi Note 11T 5G.
So, as per the report, Xiaomi is planning to launch various Redmi Note 11 series smartphones in India.
Recently, it was reported that Qualcomm is said to announce its next flagship processor Snapdragon 898 in December at the Tech Summit event and it is expected to power flagship phones from different brands in 2022. GSMArena reports that Xiaomi might be the first brand to use this chipset in its Mi 12 smartphone series.
The upcoming Snapdragon 898 is claimed to be 15% faster than its predecessor as the single and multi-core Geekbench scores of the Snapdragon 898 was also revealed, where it scored 1200 in single-core and 3900 in multi-cores. This chipset is expected to be equipped with an Adreno 730 GPU unit for graphics and might also include the Snapdragon X65 5G modem that claims to offer downlink speeds of 10Gbps.
