Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 2 chipset specs leaked, likely to feature a triple cluster design – Times of India

Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit is scheduled for November 15 and at the upcoming event, the chipset maker is expected to make several new announcements such as new chipsets, technologies and more. The major highlight of the event is expected to be the company’s new flagship chip — Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, the company is also rumoured to announce a new affordable chipset aimed at mid-range devices — Snapdragon 7 Gen 2.
Qualcomm hasn’t revealed anything about the rumoured 7 Gen 2 chipset, however, a new leak that has surfaced recently on Twitter reveals a couple of features that we may get to see with the chipset.
Tipster Roland Quandt who goes by @rquandt has dropped a new tweet revealing some key highlights about the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2SoC. According to the tipster, the company will launch the Qualcomm SM7475SoC, which is expected to be Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset and it will be the first 7 series chipset from the company to come with a tri-cluster design, one prime core, 3 gold cores and 4 silver cores.
As per the tweet, the prime and gold cores of the chipset will be clocked at 2.4xx GHz, while the silver cores will be clocked at 1.8GHz.
Here’s what the tweet reads, “Qualcomm SM7475. First Snapdragon 7 series with tri-cluster design. 1x prime core, 3x gold, 4x silver. 2,4xx GHz on the prime and gold cores, 1,8 GHz on silver (in testing)”.
Qualcomm has not officially confirmed anything about the upcoming Snapdragon 7 series chip. So, we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt.
