razer: Razer Kishi V2 mobile gaming controller for Android unvieled; iOS version coming later this year – Times of India

Razer has unveiled the Kishi V2 mobile gaming controller, a successor to the original Kishi, launched in 2020. The Kishi V2 has a similar design as the former; the top and bottom are wrapped inwards and still use a USB C connection, resulting in reduced latency. However, it has some improvements compared to the original Razer Kishi controller, including new switches.
The Kishi V2 has an extendable rear bridge design, while the original Kishi had a foldable design. However, the new design makes Razer’s second-generation mobile gaming controller compatible with more devices. It can fit the Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and even Galaxy Note 10 smartphones, and you can also put a phone with a case on, so anything smaller than that will work perfectly fine.
The button layout is pretty much the same instead there are two new M1/M2 multi-function buttons next to the R1/R2 triggers at the top of the corner. But, there are some changes under those buttons. So, Razer has replaced the membranes with microswitches for much more tactile feedback. Also, there is a new share button at the front, which as the name suggests might open up the share menu but it will only work with the new Nexus app. And it supports USB C passthrough charging.
The Nexus is a companion app for the Kishi V2 gaming controller. The app allows users to customize the controller or update it. Furthermore, Razer wants Nexus to become a go-to app for your gaming needs since it will help you find games compatible with the controller, capture screenshots and stream your gameplay.
Razer has only announced the Android version of the Kishi V2. Meanwhile, the iOS version is expected to debut later this year.
