Read Tesla CEO Elon Musks’ ‘warning text’ to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal

The rift between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Twitter seems to have truned into a full-blown war. According to a report in Business Insider, Musk accused Twitter’s lawyers of trying to ’cause trouble’ by asking for info on how he did finance the deal to buy the company.
According to the report, Musk texted CEO Parag Agrawal and CFO Ned Segal on June 28, saying “Your lawyers are using these conversations to cause trouble. That needs to stop.” Musk’s texts are said to be in response to Twitter’s decision to seek information from Musk on how he had planned to finance his offer to buy Twitter for $44 billion.
Twitter has filed a lawsuit against Musk for backing out from the acquisition deal. In a lawsuit filed, lawyers for Twitter have accused Musk of “refusing to honor his obligations.” They have termed Musk’s move as “invalid and wrongful.” The suit has been filed in Chancery Court in Delaware, where Twitter is incorporated.
What Elon Musk said on not buying Twitter
Musk’s legal representatives Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP sent a letter to Twitter’s chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde last week where they accused Twitter of failing to comply with its obligations to disclose the number of fake accounts. “Twitter has not complied with its contractual obligations. For nearly two months, Mr Musk has sought the data and information necessary to ‘make an independent assessment of the prevalence of fake or spam accounts on Twitter’s platform’,” says the letter.
“Twitter has failed or refused to provide this information. Sometimes Twitter has ignored Mr Musk’s requests, sometimes it has rejected them for reasons that appear to be unjustified, and sometimes it has claimed to comply while giving Mr Musk incomplete or unusable information,” the letter added.
