Realme 9 4G moniker confirmed, key specifications revealed: 48MP camera, 33W charging, and more | 91mobiles.com

The Realme 9 4G FCC listing shows the handset will come with a 5,000mAh battery (4,880mAh rated capacity) that will have an LP883 model number and 33W fast charging support. The same has been confirmed by the Element Materials Technology listing. The FCC certification shows the connectivity options dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and dual SIM slots. Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t include images of the phone but we can speculate its design could be along the lines of Realme 9 Pro.

On the other hand, the Camera FV-5 listing confirms the Realme 9 4G variant will have a 48MP camera setup on the back with a 1/4-inch sensor size, EIS, 73.7mm focal length, an f/1.78 aperture, and will have support for ISO in the 100-6400 range. On the front, it is said to have a 16MP snapper with 27.2mm focal length, an f/2.5 aperture, 1/3-inch sensor size, 100-1600 range ISO.

When compared to its predecessor, the Realme 8 (4G variant), the next-gen Realme 9 4G won’t offer too many upgrades. For example, the former comes with a 5,000mAh battery too and offers 30W charging speeds, so the 33W charging of its successor is not too much of a change. The 16MP selfie camera is common to both smartphones as well, though we can expect the new model to have better software-side improvements. The Realme 8, in fact, comes with a 64MP sensor onboard, so the 48MP lens of the Realme 9 may be considered a downgrade of sorts, though we know megapixels don’t equal image quality. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, dual-SIM are pretty standard and were seen in Realme 8 4G too.

Unfortunately, that’s pretty much everything that is revealed by the certification sites at the moment, but we expect the phone to debut sometime later this month so more details should start surfacing in the next couple of weeks until then, these are good details.
