Realme is gearing to launch its popular mid-range series, the Realme 9 lineup, in India. The lineup includes a vanilla Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9 Pro+, and Realme 9i. The Realme 9i has been launched in Vietnam. However, the company is yet to announce other smartphones in the lineup. Now, Realme 9 has been spotted on EEC and BIS certification sites with model number RMX3388, hinting the lunch could be around the corner.

Realme 9 BIS certification

Unfortunately, none of these listings reveal key specifications of the handset. We can expect the company to share teasers of the Realme 9 as it has received certifications. Additionally, Thailand’s NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) has confirmed Realme 9 Pro, 9 Pro+, and 9i+ will carry model numbers RMX3472, RMX3393, and RMX3491, so the company is likely to launch the entire lineup together.

Today, Realme teased Realme 9i to launch in India soon. We can expect Realme 9 to feature a similar design to the Realme 9i. The Realme 9i packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SOC, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device boots Android 11 OS with Realme UI 2.0 custom skin out of the box.

As for the cameras, Realme 9i has a triple camera setup at the rear, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP sensor. It has a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls on the front. It will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The handset is available in two colour options, blue and black, priced at VND 6,290,000 (approx Rs 20,500).
