Realme 9 launched with a 108MP primary sensor, 5000mAh battery at a starting price of Rs 17,999

Realme has expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup with the launch of the Realme 9 smartphone in India. The company has launched the smartphone alongside its flagship Realme GT 2 Pro.
The smartphone comes with a 108MP primary sensor and is powered by a Qualcomm chipset. Apart from that, the smartphone also features an AMOLED display with a high refresh rate.
Realme 9: Price and availability
Realme has launched the smartphone in three colour options — Meteor Black, Sunburst Gold and Stargaze White. The smartphone is available in two variants — 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB and are priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 18,999 respectively.
The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale starting April 12, 12 pm onwards and will be available for purchase via Flipkart, Realme’s official website and other retail partners.
Realme 9: Specifications
Realme 9 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone claims to offer 1000 nits of peak brightness.
The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. It is only available with one storage option of 128GB.
Realme 9 runs Android 12 operating system and comes with Realme UI 3.0. The handset is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
In terms of camera, the smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup of 108MP primary, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP macro. On the front, the smartphone comes with a 16MP sensor.
Apart from that, the smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G and more.
