Realme 9 Pro+ confirmed to come with in-built heart rate sensor

NEW DELHI: Realme is expected to launch two new smartphones in India this month. The company is said to be working on two mid-range smartphones — Realme 9 and Realme 9 Pro+. The smartphone maker has now shared some more details about the upcoming Realme 9 Pro+ smartphone. The company has already confirmed that the Realme 9 Pro+ will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G processor. Now Realme has revealed that the yet-to-launch 9 series smartphone will come with an in-built heart rate sensor.

According to a tweet by Realme VP Madhav Sheth, the Realme 9 Pro+ will come with an in-built heart rate sensor. Sheth tweeted a video that shows that the smartphone will come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor which also doubles up as a heart rate sensor. Users will be able to use it to measure their heart rate. Users will have to keep their finger pressed on the sensor in order to get the reading. After measuring the heart rate, the tool will ask the user whether they are walking, resting, exercising or more.

Realme 9 Pro+ expected specifications
Realme 9 Pro+ was recently spotted on the Geekbench listing platform. According to the benchmark website, the smartphone may pack 8GB of RAM and could run on the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box.
It is rumoured that the phone may be equipped with a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen. It may have a refresh rate of 90Hz. For camera performance, the handset may offer a 16MP sensor at the front for selfies. There could be a three-camera setup on the phone’s rear which may consist of a 50MP primary camera. This may be paired with an 8MP camera and a 2MP camera. The smartphone is expected to come with optical image stabilization (OIS) support as well.
Realme 9 Pro+ may be backed by a 4500mAh battery. It may feature a 65-watt fast charging adapter and is expected to offer an in-display fingerprint sensor.
