Realme 9 series may offer 4 smartphones, tipped to launch in first quarter of 2022 – Times of India

Realme 9 series is said to launch next year. The company had to postpone the series launch to 2022 due to chip shortage ailing the tech industry globally. Now, a report by GSMArena says that Realme may bring four devices under the upcoming series. It suggests that the Realme 9 series may consist of Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9i and a new Realme 9 Max/Pro+. The latter will be a first for Realme number series. The company has launched Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro and even Realme 8i. But there has been no number series smartphone with the Max or Pro+ moniker.
As per the source cited in the report, the Realme 9 series could be unveiled in India in February next year. It is likely that the devices mentioned above could be unveiled by the company at two separate events.
Realme 9 series likely features
Not much is known about features of the Realme 9 series yet. According to rumours, Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro Max/Pro+ will be the top-end phones in the lineup. The duo may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 octa-core processor.
The smartphones are tipped to come equipped with big AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is also expected that the handsets may offer 108MP primary camera at the back.
Realme 9, on the other hand, is said to come powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. It is tipped to pack 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The smartphone is said to run on Android 11 and may house a 5000mAh battery. The device may come with fast-charging support as well.
