Realme GT 2 Pro Android 13-based Realme UI 3.0 update starts rolling out in India

The Realme GT 2 Pro Android 13 update weighs 5.5GB in size and brings a bunch of new features such as the Aquamorphic design. This adds more aesthetic animations, shadows, UI components, and much more. The update also brings the new October 2022 security patch as well.

Realme GT 2 Pro’s Android 13 update brings HyperBoost GPA 4.0 engine that balances performance and power consumption while also maintaining frame rate. The update adds Aquamorphic Design theme colours for enhanced visual comfort and a shadow-reflective clock, with shadows to simulate the orientation of the sun and moon. It brings a new Home Screen world clock widget to show the time in different time zones.

The Android 13 update adds large folders to the Home screen, where you can now open an app in an enlarged folder with just one tap and turn pages in the folder with a swipe. It adds media playback control and optimises the Quick Settings experience. There a new markup tools for screenshot editing, support for adding widgets to the home screen, and optimises the shelf.

The Advanced Encryption Standard is used to encrypt files for enhanced security of private files. Lastly, there is a new Eye comfort in Kid Space to protect children’s vision.

The Realme GT 2 Pro sports a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO 2.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 525 PPI, 10-bit colour, 100 percent P3 colour gamut, 1000Hz Turbocharged touch sampling rate, HDR10+, 1,400nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus support and MEMC. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC paired with Adreno GPU, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The phone is equipped with a stainless steel vapour chamber to dissipate heat during gaming sessions, GT 3.0 mode for seamless performance, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res audio. The handset measures 163.2×74.7×8.18mm and weighs 189 grams.

The phone boots Android 12 based on Realme UI 3.0 custom skin out of the box. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port.

Moving to cameras, the Realme GT 2 Pro has triple cameras on the back, comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS and EIS, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens with a 150-degree FoV and a 40X microscope lens. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
