NEW DELHI: Realme has launched its new 5G smartphones — Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ in India today (February 16). The two smartphones were launched during a virtual launch event. During the launch event, the company also revealed the details of the upcoming Realme launch.

The Chinese smartphone maker has revealed the launch details of its high-end GT 2 series of smartphones. Realme has confirmed that it will launch its Realme GT 2 series of smartphones globally at the end of this month at MWC 2022. Already launched in China last year, the Realme GT 2 series consist of two smartphones — Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro.

Realme GT 2 series specifications
The Realme GT 2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to be designed with bio-based materials. As per the company, the back cover on the smartphone uses a bio-polymer material that serves as an eco-friendly alternative to fossil raw materials that contribute to global warming.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and it features a 6.7-inch OLED display with 3216×1440 pixels resolution. Realme GT 2 Pro gets a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a field of view of 150-degrees, and a 3MP microscope camera. For selfies and video calls, the device has a 32MP camera at the front. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support.

On the other hand, Realme GT 2 sports a 6.62-inch OLED display with full HD+resolution and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. When it comes to cameras, the Realme GT 2 gets a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a field of view of 150-degrees, and a 3MP microscope camera.

For selfies and video calls, the device has a 32MP camera at the front. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
