Realme GT 5G, Realme Slim Book to launch in India on 18 August: All you need to know

NEW DELHI: Realme is all set to launch its most-powerful smartphone — Realme GT 5G, Realme GT 5G Master Edition and its first laptop — Realme Slim Book in India. The company has scheduled a virtual launch event for tomorrow (August 18), where the company will unveil the three devices. The launch event will begin at 12.30 pm IST and those interested can live stream the event on the company’s official YouTube and Facebook channels.
Realme has already launched the Realme GT 5G smartphone globally last month. Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth has already confirmed that it will launch the same variant in India without any changes. Talking about the pricing, Sheth said that Realme GT 5G is a flagship smartphone so it will be priced above Rs 30,000 due to its specs and build quality.
On the other hand, the company has already confirmed that the Realme Book Slim will be one of the slimmest and lightest laptops available in its segment.
Realme GT 5G specifications
As mentioned above, Realme GT 5G is the most-powerful smartphone of the company and it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. The premium smartphone features a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Realme GT 5G comes in two variants — 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own Realme UI 2.0.
The smartphone features a car-inspired design and comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 65W Super Dart charging support.
For imaging duties, Realme GT 5G sports a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, Sony IMX682 sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.3 aperture, 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.
Realme Book Slim leaked specifications
Realme Slim Book is the first laptop of the company and it is said to come with a backlit keyboard and a metallic chassis. The laptop is expected to offer three microphones, a 3.5mm audio jack, 2 USB-C 3.1 ports and one USB 3.2Gen 1 port.
Realme Slim Book is said to come with a 4-inch 2K display and could be powered by 11th Generation Intel Core i5 processor. Running Windows 10 operating system, the laptop is siad to pack 16GB of RAM.
As per online leaks and rumours the Realme Slim Book is said to be priced under Rs 40,000.
