Chinese smartphone maker Realme recently launched two new mid-range 5G phones in India. Realme 10 Pro 5G and Realme 10 Pro Plus 5G smartphones are now available for purchase in the country. The company is also reportedly planning to expand its GT Neo series with a new handset. Earlier, a few renders of the rumoured Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone was leaked online. Now, a tipster has revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming handset on Weibo. The smartphone is expected to become the first-ever phone to support 240W fast charging and use a Sony lens for its primary camera setup. Realme is yet to announce the official specs and launch date of the GT Neo 5 smartphone. More details are expected to surface in the coming days.
Realme GT Neo 5: Rumoured specsAccording to a report by GizmoChina, a tipster named Digital Chat Station has shared the key highlights of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5. The leaker suggests that the smartphone will likely sport a 6.7-inch OLED panel that may support a 1.5K resolution (2772 x 1240 pixels), a 144Hz refresh rate and a 2160Hz PWM dimming.
The handset is expected to come powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile platform which will be clocked at 3.2GHz. Realme GT Neo 5 is also rumoured to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, a plastic frame and it may also arrive with RGB lights.
Realme GT Neo 5 may house a 50MP rear camera setup and the primary shooter is likely to be a Sony IMX890. The main camera is expected to be equipped with OIS (Optical Image stabilisation) support and will offer an f/1.79 aperture. The primary sensor is also rumoured to be paired with a 25mm lens.
Apart from this, the upcoming device may ship in two different battery and fast-charging variants. One of the Realme GT Neo 5 may pack a 5000mAh battery unit that will support 150W fast charging. However, the company is also expected to release another version of the phone that will feature a smaller 4600mAh battery unit but will support 240W wired fast charging.
