Realme launches its most affordable smartphone with a fingerprint scanner, price starts at Rs 7,499

Realme C30s is here. The Chinese smartphone brand has announced a new entry-level smartphone under C-series in India. The latest smartphone from the company comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5000mAh battery and runs the latest version of the Android operating system. Apart from that, the handset also features an anti-slip design.
Realme C30s: Price and availability
Realme C30s will be available in two colour options — Stripe Blue and Stripe Black. The handset comes in two RAM and storage combinations — 2GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. The base 2GB variant of the C30s is priced at Rs 7,499, while the higher variant with 4GB RAM costs Rs 8,999.
The first sale of the handset is scheduled for September 22 at midnight for Flipkart Plus members and September 23 for other buyers. The handset will be available for purchase via Realme’s official website as well.
At this price, the smartphone rivals the recently launched Redmi A1 smartphone.

Realme C30s: Features
Realme C30s features a micro-textured anti-slip design. It’s 8.5mm thin and weighs 182 grams. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch LCD display, has 400 nits of peak brightness and offers 88.7% screen-to-body ratio.
One of the key features of the smartphone is that it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which, according to the company, is the only smartphone to offer in this segment.
Under the hood, the Realme C30s comes with a Unisoc SC9863A chipset. It is an octa-core SoC which is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
In terms of camera, the handset is equipped with an 8MP AI rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter at the front.
