realme: These will be the first Realme smartphones to get Android 12 update – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Google has officially released the stable version of its latest Android 12 operating system for Pixel smartphones. Other smartphone makers are also gearing up to launch the next iterations of their proprietary UI. Recently, Oppo announced the ColorOS 12 along with its plan to roll out the update for Oppo and OnePlus smartphones. Now another Chinese smartphone maker has revealed its plan for rolling out Android 12 for its smartphones.
Smartphone maker Realme has announced that it will launch the stable update of Android 12 for the Realme GT series soon. The company said that soon the Realme GT series smartphone users will be able to log into the Realme official community to apply for the update.
Realme also said that at the same time it will also release the Realme UI 3.0 Globally. This means that the Realme GT, Realme GT Master Edition and Realme GT Explorer Edition will be the first smartphones of the company to receive Android 12 update. The company has also said that it will eventually extend the update to other Realme smartphones as well.
Android 12 comes with new privacy settings and material design. The latest version of the operating system offers features like Privacy Dashboard that offers a single view into your permissions settings as well as what data is being accessed, how often and by which apps. It also lets you easily revoke app permissions right from the dashboard.
The operating system also promises to offer a new look to your Android phone with a Material You design interface. Android 12 operating system will completely change the look of the Android phone with the new Material You UI design. The interface comes with new colour options, animations, tile designs and more.
Meanwhile, Relame is all set to expand its GT series of smartphones. The company is expected to launch the new Realme GT Neo smartphone in India this month.
