Realme to come with a proper premium flagship smartphone by early next year

Now Realme Vice President Xu Qi at the China Mobile Global Partners Conference reportedly said that the company will enter the high-end flagship smartphone market as well. According to a report by IT Home quoting Qi, the smartphone should be priced around CNY 5,000 (roughly Rs. Rs 58,200). The report further states that several high-end Realme products will also be launching early next year.

There is no further information about the specifications and features of the upcoming Realme flagship phone that may come next year to rival the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 or the iPhone 13. Realme has now become the newest smartphone brand that has publicly announced its entry into the high-end market after Xiaomi, OPPO, and VIVO previously.

The biggest addition that Realme could add, should be the presence of wireless charging in their upcoming premium flagship smartphone. Realme still does not have a phone that supports wireless charging, a technology very common in premium phones these days. Earlier this year, Realme announced the MagDart magnetic wireless charging technology and said that it would come first to a phone called Realme Flash. There are, however, no further details given about when it will make its debut or the phone with it would arrive.

For now, the highest-end smartphone available from Realme is the Realme GT. Launched in India earlier this year for Rs. 37,999, the Realme GT is a true flagship killer. It comes with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 64-megapixel triple-camera system, 120Hz Super AMOLED display, and 65W fast-charging technology. Its rivals, smartphones such as the iQOO 7 Legend and OnePlus 9, were launched for a bit higher price for almost the same set of specifications as the one the Realme GT has. Let’s see what sort of features and specifications Realme would offer in their premium flagship smartphone in the future.
