Realme UI 4.0 announced: New features, changes and more
The company has highlighted four main sectors that have been updated with new features which are– Real Design, Real Fun, Real Seamless and Real Safe. Some of these improvements include redesigned icons and a card-styled layout for a smoother experience. Realme has also claimed that the new UI is optimised to offer a 10% performance and a 5% battery life boost during gaming sessions.
Realme UI 4.0: New features
The newly launched Realme 10 Pro series devices will run the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 out-of-the-box. Realme has confirmed that the new skin offers vibrant colours for an improved experience and includes 30 new icons. To reduce information overload, the company has also changed the layout by placing text and controls together.
Realme’s new custom ROM also supports new facial features for the Omoji virtual avatars. Users can customise their Omoji avatars with different facial shapes, skin tones, makeup styles, hairstyles and accessories.
Realme UI 4.0 is also equipped with a Smart Always-On Display (AOD) feature that will help users to access multiple apps without needing to unlock the phone. Moreover, the new skin has an Insight AOD mode that will track locks and unlocks.
Apart from this, the new Realme UI can run up to 18 apps at a time and includes the Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 which claims to make gestures more responsive. This new technology can even predict gestures that a user might want to make.
Realme UI 4.0 also supports large folders and home screen widgets and its Multi-screen Connect feature will allow users to interact with other Realme phones, Realme tablets, and compatible PCs.
The company has added a few new security features to the latest Android skin. With Realme UI 4.0, users don’t have to manually edit screenshots before sharing them. The Auto Pixelate feature will automatically blur personal information in screenshots.
Also, the Private Safe feature now uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to protect personal data like — photos, videos, documents, and more.
