Realme’s upcoming laptop, the ‘Realme Book’, poses for photos with a metallic chassis & thin bezels | Digit

Realme teased its upcoming laptop yesterday and today the prototype unit of the laptop has posed for a bunch of photos. These photos, obtained by the folks over at Android Authority, give us a much better look at the laptop’s design and build. As you can see, it also confirms the name of the laptop being the “Realme Book”.

Looking at the images, you’ll notice that Realme has taken some inspiration from Apple’s MacBook for its design. The laptop appears to have an aluminium body and thin bezels around the side of the display. There’s a Realme branding on the lid and there are two speaker grilles at the bottom.

The leak mentions that the laptop will sport a 3:2 display, however, it looks like a 16:10 display from the images. Both aspect ratios are taller than the standard 16:9 ratio that we have come to expect from mainstream laptops on the market. It will be interesting to see how it looks in person.

In addition to the Realme Book laptop, the leaked images also show a tablet named Realme Pad. We don’t have a detailed look at that yet, but the slideshow seen in the image does confirm that it will be launching alongside the laptop on the same day.

Realme is clearly trying to step things up and expand its portfolio outside of phones. This will be Realme’s first laptop and we think they will go for aggressive pricing to get head-to-head with Xiaomi’s offering in India. It’s hard to comment on the laptop and its specs just yet but Realme will most likely go with an 11th Gen Intel Core processor.

We’ll definitely have more to talk about the laptop in the coming weeks, so be sure to stay tuned. In other news, we’re also expecting some RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti-powered laptops to arrive in India soon, so the laptop space is about to get a whole lot interesting.
