RedBus announces a new online train booking app in India: Features, offer and other details – Times of India

RedBus has launched a separate lite app for online train booking in India called RedRail. The MakeMyTrip-owned portal is the largest bus ticket booking application in the country that aims to improve online booking for ‘millions of train passengers.’ Earlier, RedRail was a part of the RedBus app as an in-app feature, however, it has now got its standalone app.
RedRail app requirements
The company has tested the app and claims that it is working smoothly and will help users to book train tickets with ease. RedBus claims that users can book IRCTC train tickets using RedRail even in situations like — locations with limited internet speed, using devices with minimal memory configuration, as well as using phones running outdated Android versions.
RedRail app availability
RedRail is currently available only in English, but the company said that the app will soon be available in multiple other Indian languages that will allow customers to book trips in their language. Currently, the app is only available for Android devices and soon it will be available on the iOS platform as well.
RedRail app payment options
Apart from UPI payments, the RedRail app will allow users to make payments with credit cards, debit cards and net banking among other types of payment.
RedRail app launch offers
Customers can now book IRCTC train tickets through the RedRail app to avail of a 10% discount, which is up to Rs 50, by using the promo code “LOVERAIL.” As a part of a special promotion offer valid till April 20, users won’t need to pay any processing fees or payment gateway charges.
RedRail app features
Apart from booking train tickets on RedRail, users can also check PNR confirmation status and live train movement on the app. This new app will notify its users whenever there is a notable change in their ticket confirmation status.
