Redmi 10 Prime 2022 may launch with 6.5-inch display, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and 50MP camera

Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi may launch its Redmi 10 Prime 2022 smartphone in India in the next few months, reports GizChina. The Indian version of the Redmi 10 Prime was spotted on the IMEI database, suggesting the imminent launch of the device. This device has already passed through multiple certifications websites like — SDPPI, EEC and TKDN. The report adds that this smartphone could also be a rehashed version of the Redmi Note 11 4G, which was released in China some time ago. The company is also expected to roll out a vanilla Redmi 10 model in the country.
The report also adds that the company might release the Redmi 10 2022 version as the Redmi 10 Prime 2022 for the Indian market. The key difference between the two models is the battery capacity and thickness. The Redmi 10 Prime packs a 6000mAh battery, whereas the Redmi 10 Global variant comes with a 5000mAh battery. Xiaomi might use the same strategy for the Redmi 10 2022 and the Redmi 10 Prime 2022 versions.

The Redmi 10 Prime sports a 6.5-inch ÌPS LCD screen that produces FHD+ resolution (at 2400×1080 pixels). The display offers 400 nits peak brightness and has a refresh rate of 90Hz`. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and comes with a punch-hole notch design. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor coupled with ARM Mali G52 as graphics unit. It also packs 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
This smartphone features a triple camera setup in the back that includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. It packs a 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and runs on MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box based on Android 11. It also comes with a micro-SD card slot, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack and a fingerprint scanner. The device also has an infrared sensor and a stereo speaker setup. For connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, 4G and a dual-SIM slot
