Redmi 10 Prime launch date in India is September 3rd at 12 PM IST, the company has teased. There’s a dedicated microsite on the company’s website with the countdown timer and it reveals some key features of the phone. While the company hasn’t revealed its exact marketing name, Redmi India’s Twitter handle name is being changed to all prime numbers, which suggests that Redmi 10 Prime is indeed launching. It is speculated the phone could be a rebrand of the Redmi 10 that was launched globally last week. The microsite shows the handset comes with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, a large primary camera sensor on the back, a MediaTek Helio processor, and an adaptive refresh rate. The Redmi 10 Prime is expected to come with a brand new design and will have features dedicated to content creators.

Redmi 10 Prime specifications
Redmi 10 sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with 2,400 X 1,080 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, Reading Mode 3.0, and Sunlight display. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 custom skin out of the box and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. The company is bundling a 22.5W fast charging in the box.
The Redmi 10 has a quad rear camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chats and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and a 3.5mm audio jack. Redmi 10 supports 9W reverse wired charging, measures 161.95×75.53×8.92mm and weighs 181 grams. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

The Redmi 10 Prime aka the Redmi 10 price in India could be on similar lines as the global model. The 4GB + 64GB costs $179 (around Rs 13,300), the 4GB + 128GB model is priced at $199 (approx Rs 14,800) and lastly, the 6GB/128GB variant costs $219 (around Rs 16,300).
