Redmi has expanded its smartphone range in India with the launch of Redmi 9 Activ. The smartphone is listed on e-commerce site Amazon and will go on sale at 12pm today. The handset is equipped with a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS display with 20:9 aspect ratio and is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 processor.
Price and availability
Redmi 9 Activ is offered in two storage models. The base variant packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is priced at Rs 9,499. Another model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity. The company has not revealed the price of the smartphone’s 6GB RAM variant. However, it will go on sale via Amazon today.
Carbon Black, Coral Green, and Metallic Purple are the colour options that a buyer can choose from.
Redmi 9 Activ specifications
Redmi 9 Activ runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 operating system. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 chipset with Hyper Game technology. As mentioned above, it packs up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
The smartphone has a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS screen. The display offers an aspect ratio of 20:9. To perform camera duties, the handset comes with a 5MP AI selfie camera.
On the rear, the phone has a 13MP main camera (f/2.2 aperture) paired with 2MP depth sensor (f/2.2 aperture). Redmi 9 Activ is backed by a 5000mAh battery and comes with USB Type-C port for charging. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device for security.
