Redmi India has launched two new budget phones in India: the Redmi A1 and today the Redmi A1+. Both phones come with almost identical designs, with a waterdrop notch, multiple colour options, and dual camera sensors on the back. However, the recently launched Redmi A1+ comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Apart from these, the phones don’t really have any differences. Redmi A1+ price in India is Rs 7,499 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and Rs 8,499 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. It comes in Black, Light Green, and Light Blue. As a part of the Diwali sale, the phone will be available at Rs 6,999 for the 2GB RAM/32GB storage variant and Rs 7,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage.
Redmi A1 is priced at Rs 6,499 for the single 2GB + 32GB storage model. The phone comes in Light Blue, Classic Black, and Light Green colours.

Design
As said, the Redmi A1 and Redmi A1+ have identical designs. There is a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper and a sizeable bezel below the screen, which is expected from a budget phone. The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge. The SIM tray section is on the left spine. On the back, you have the rectangular module that houses dual camera sensors and LED flash. There is Redmi branding on the back. The Redmi A1 and Redmi A1+ have a leather finish on the back that offers a good grip on the hands.
