redmi k20: Xiaomi rolling out Android 11 update for two-year old Redmi K20 smartphone – Times of India
Smartphone maker Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 11 update for its two year old smartphone — Redmi K20. The company launched the Redmi K20 in 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. Now, the smartphone has started receiving the Android 11 update in India.
Along with the Android 11 update, the smartphone also received MIUI 12.5 update. The update comes with build number V12.1.4.0.RFJINXM and it also brings the latest Android security patch to the smartphone. The company is rolling out the update in a phased manner and it will reach all users in the coming days.
With Android 11 update, Redmi K20 users will be able to experience features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.
Redmi K20 specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi K20 features a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 2340 × 1080 pixels resolution. The device comes with a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM.
The smartphone comes with two storage options — 128GB and 256GB. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.
The smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 10. The dual SIM smartphone houses a triple rear camera. The smartphone offers a 48MP main sensor with dual LED flash, 8MP telephoto lens and 13MP wide angle lens. The front is home to a 20MP popup selfie camera.
Measuring 156.7×74.3×8.8mm, the smartphone comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Redmi K20 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support and also comes with P2i coating.
