It seems like Redmi is gearing up for the launch of its another K-series smartphone– Redmi K60 Gaming. The Redmi K60 Gaming Edition is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2023. The smartphone will be exclusively available for purchase in China.
According to a report by Xiaomiui, the smartphone was recently spotted on the IMEI database bearing the model number 23011310C. As per the listing, the smartphone is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
The report suggests the “Socrates”moniker for the smartphone. The upcoming Redmi K60 Gaming is tipped to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The latest chipset is expected to be launched during the Qualcomm Summit 2022 in the upcoming month

The Redmi K60 Gaming is said to succeed the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition launched earlier this year. The smartphone comes with a starting price of CNY 3,299 (approximately Rs 39,000) for the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition: Specifications
The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition sports a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixels resolution. The smartphone display offers up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Powering the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset which comes with IO Turbo technology. There is 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
It has a triple rear camera setup that includes– a 64 MP Sony IMX686 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP macro shooter. The front camera module has a 20 MP Sony IMX596 selfie sensor.
The smartphone packs a 4700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The gaming-centric features of the smartphone include dual VC cooling, JBL four-unit speaker, CyberEngine ultra-wideband X-axis motor, etc.
