Redmi K60 series may pack Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC processor – Times of India

Xiaomi is said to be working on a new Redmi series of smartphones. The company is said to soon launch the all-new Redmi K60 series of smartphones in the China market. The smartphone series is said to consist of three smartphones — Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E.
According to a report by tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K60 series is a gaming smartphone series. The Redmi K60E is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. On the other hand, the Redmi K60 is tipped to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, whereas the Redmi K60 Pro may feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The most expensive Redmi K60 Pro smartphone is said to pack 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The report further adds that the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro may sport an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
On the other hand, Redmi K60E is said to come with 120W fast charging support. All three upcoming Redmi smartphones are said to run Android 13 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 14.
Xiaomi 13 series launched
Xiaomi launched its latest flagship smartphones — Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones in China recently. The two new smartphones from Xiaomi come with a new design, upgraded camera setups, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
Xiaomi 13 Pro features a triple 50MP camera setup once again but packs some improvements inside a square camera module. The main sensor is the same 1-inch Sony IMX989 paired with a Leica f/1.9 lens with Hyper OIS. The telephoto unit is a 50MP sensor with 3x zoom paired with a Leica floating lens with a close focusing distance of 10 cm. The ultrawide unit comes with a 14mm f/2.2 lens with autofocus, thus enabling macro mode.
