Redmi Note 12 5G is here. Redmi has launched its much-teased Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones in India today. The new smartphone series consists of three phones — Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and the most affordable Redmi Note 12 5G.
The Redmi Note 12 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. The mid-range smartphone runs Android 12 operating system topped with MIUI. The new Redmi smartphone comes in two variants — 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB.
The 5G-enabled smartphone sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display is made scratch-resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top.
Redmi Note 12 5G sports a triple rear camera with 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and 2MP macro camera. The front is home to a 13MP selfie camera. The smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
The price of the Redmi Note 12 5G starts at Rs 17,999. At this price point, the smartphone will face in-house competition from Redmi Note 11 Pro which also retails at Rs 17,999. Redmi Note 11 Pro is powered by MediaTek HelioG96 chipset and it sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display.
The smartphone runs Android 11 and packs 6GB/8GB of RAM. Redmi Note 11 Pro sports a 108MP quad-rear camera setup and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery.
