Xiaomi’s sub brand, Redmi, has launched the new Redmi Note 12 5G series in India. The series consist of two Pro models – Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, in addition to the vanilla Redmi Note 12 5G.

Redmi is also working on the launch of the K60 series. Earlier this month, when MediaTek launched the Dimensity 8200 chipset, Redmi confirmed that this chip will feature in the upcoming K60E smartphone. A previous report by a tipster named Digital Chat Station claims that the Redmi K60E will replace last year’s K50 device, the K60 will succeed the K50 Pro and the K60 Pro will replace the K50G handset.

The Redmi K60 Pro which is set to replace the Redmi K50G or the Gaming Edition may come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This device may also offer an improved screen and cooling system for enhanced gaming performance.
Meanwhile, the Redmi K60 is rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. To compare, its predecessor came powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset which will also power the upcoming K60E.
