Xiaomi has expanded its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of Redmi 10A and Redmi 10 Power in India today. The new smartphones join the Redmi 10 in the series that was announced last month. The Redmi 10A and Redmi 10 Power succeeds the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 Power smartphones that were launched in 2020. While the Redmi 10A looks like a toned down version of Redmi 10, the Redmi 10 Power packs better features. Here’s everything you need to know about smartphones.
Redmi 10A and Redmi 10 Power: Price and availability
The Redmi 10A will be offered in two RAM and storage configurations. The Redmi 10A 3GB + 32GB variant is priced at Rs 8,499 and the 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 9,499. The smartphone will go on sale from April 26 and will be available in three colour options – Charcoal Black, Sea Blue, and Slate Gray.
On the other hand, the Redmi 10 Power will be offered in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at Rs 14,999. The smartphone will be available in two colour options – Power Black and Sporty Orange. Xiaomi has not yet revealed when the smartphones will go on sale.
Redmi 10A specifications
Redmi 10A features a 6.53-inch display HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone gets RAM expansion feature and dedicated microSD card slot. It also gets a fingerprint scanner.
When it comes to camera, the Redmi 10A features a 13MP AI sensor at the rear with LED flash. For video calls and selfies, the device houses a 5MP camera at the front.
The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W fast charging. The smartphone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
Redmi 10 Power specifications
The Redmi 10 Power gets a similar design as the Redmi 10A. The device features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with 400 nits of peak brightness, and a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone gets RAM expansion feature and dedicated microSD card slot. It also gets a fingerprint scanner.
When it comes to camera, the Redmi 10 Power features a dual rear camera setup with 50MP primary sensor and 2MP portrait sensor. For video calls and selfies, the device houses a 5MP camera at the front. The device is backed by a 6,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging.
