redmi: Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition launched – Times of India
Xiaomi has launched two new phones under its Redmi brand – the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition – in China.
Both the smartphones come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and feature OLED displays. They differ from each other in RAM and storage options.
The 8GB+128GB version of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone is priced at CNY 3,299 (about Rs 39,000), the 12GB + 128GB version comes at CNY 3,599 (about Rs 42,600), and 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 3,899 (about Rs. 46,000). There are three colour options: Black, Blue, and Silver. On the other hand, the Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage and is priced at CNY 4,199 (about Rs 49,700).
As of now, there is no confirmation about the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition launching in global markets, including India.
The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone features a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080×2,400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The smartphone comes in 8GB+128GB and 12GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB RAM and storage options. The smartphone runs Android 12-based MIUI 13.
For imaging duties, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphones feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, paired with a 6P lens, an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor at the front
The gaming-centric features of the smartphones include dual VC cooling, JBL four-unit speaker, CyberEngine ultra-wideband X-axis motor etc. Both the phone are backed by 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging,
