Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched two new smart TV models with 55-inch and 65-inch displays that supports 120Hz refresh rate. Both the models will be equipped with features that are dedicated to watching sports and gaming like — MEMC (Motion Estimation Motion Compensation) for a smoother picture and 4K resolution. Both the models have FreeSync Premium and Dolby Vision support. It has also got an official recommendation from the Xbox team in China.
Redmi TV Smart X price and availability
The Redmi Smart TV X 55-inch is priced at CNY 2,999 (approx. INR Rs 35,100), while Redmi Smart TV X 65-inch is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx. INR Rs 46,800). The Redmi TVs will be available only in China in a single Black colour option. It will go on sale on October 31 in China. There is no information on when these devices will launch in India.

The Redmi Smart TV X is equipped with an UHD display in both 55-inch and 65-inch display sizes with a greyscale response time of 6.5ms, 10bit (8bit + FRC) colour depth support, and 94 percent P3 colour gamut coverage. Moreover, the Redmi TV models support FreeSync Premium along with Dolby Vision. The display of the Redmi Smart TV X features a 120Hz refresh rate and MEMC for an enhanced viewing experience. The TV supports Auto Low Latency Mode where the TV can automatically switch to a gaming mode with just 4 ms latency when you hook up a console or PC. If you’re watching video or live TV instead, the footage can be converted to 120 fps by the TV.
For audio, the Redmi Smart TV X comes with four in-built 12.5W speakers with Dolby Atmos support and microphones that can detect your voice at a distance for voice commands. The TV is powered by a MediaTek MTK 9650 processor, this 22nm chipset integrates a Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU and features AI computing power of up to 1T paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Furthermore, the Redmi TV has support for MediaTek’s AI-PQ and AI-AQ picture and audio enhancements.
Other specifications include two HDMI 2.0 (eARC), one HDMI 2.1 port (4K 120Hz), one AV, one ATV/DTMB, two USB, one S/PDIF, one RJ-45, and four Mic arrays to support far-field voice. Both the TVs have an all-metal body, including a metal base.
