Redmi teases new phone launch under Note series, could be Redmi Note 11S

Smartphone brand Redmi is set to expand its Note series smartphones in India. The company has teased a phone’s launch via a post on Twitter. The tweet does not specify the name of the device, but it is rumoured to be Redmi Note 11S.

“ια 1s com1ng…Are you ????c????ted for a ????????????????-able step up?”, goes the tweet as shared by the official Twitter handle of Redmi India. Use of “1S” instead of “IS” hints at the launch of Redmi Note 11S.

Redmi Note 11 series was launched in China last year. It comprises Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+. Xiaomi recently launched Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11 HyperCharge as rebranded models of Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+.

The upcoming Redmi Note 11S has appeared on multiple certification websites. It was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website recently with the model number 220111TSI.

Redmi Note 11S expected specifications

The upcoming Redmi Note 11S is rumoured to come with a 108MP Samsung HM2 camera. The phone is tipped to come powered by a Mediatek processor, although the name of the chipset is yet not known.

The handset may come with an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The device may support 5G connectivity. Redmi Note 11S is expected to feature an AMOLED or LCD panel with a high refresh rate.

For selfies, the device may have a 13MP camera at the front. It is expected to be another affordable offering from the Xiaomi brand.
