Relame 9 Pro 5G, Realme 9 Pro+ 5G smartphones launched in India: Price, features and more

NEW DELHI: Realme 9 Pro 5G and Relame 9 Pro+ 5G are now official. Realme has expanded its 5G smartphone line-up in India with the launch of two new mid-range smartphones. The new Realme smartphones run Android 12 operating system and come with an FHD+ display.

Realme 9 Pro 5G is powered by a Qualcomm processor, while the Pro+ variant packs MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Both the smartphones sport a triple rear camera and offer fast charging support.

Price and availability
Realme 9 Pro 5G comes in two variants — 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 20,999 respectivity. On the other hand, Relame 9 Pro+ 5G comes in three variants — 6GB+128GB priced at Rs 24,999, 8GB+128GB priced at Rs 26,999 and the 8GB+256GB priced at Rs 28,999.

Both the Relame smartphones can be purchased in Aurora Green, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Blue colour options. The Realme 9 Pro 5G will go on sale starting February 23, while the 9 Pro+ 5G will be available starting February 21. The smartphone will be available online on Flipkart and Realme.com.

As part of the launch offer, HDFC Bank customers will get an instant discount of Rs 2,000 on the smartphone.

Realme 9 Pro+ 5G specifications
Realme 9 Pro+ 5G comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers 90Hz refresh rate and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The 5G-enabled smartphone comes in two storage options — 128GB and 256GB.

Realme 9 Pro+ 5G runs Android 12 operating system, topped with the company’s own layer of Realme UI. This the first Realme smartphone to come equipped with a heart-rate sensor. The company claims that the in-display fingerprint sensor of the smartphone includes a heart rate sensor, which promises to offer heart rate detection and recording.

The smartphone sports a triple rear camera sensor, which comprises 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro shooter. The main sensor on the Realme 9 Pro+ comes with a proprietary ProLight Imaging Technology that promises to offer better light intake. The sensor also increases the pixel size and promises to reduce the noise by 30%.

The handset also houses a 16MP front camera for selfies with f/2.4 aperture. The company claims that the smartphone comes with a Clear Fusion algorithm, which claims to capture well-lit selfies in low light.

Realme 9 Pro+ 5G houses a 4,500 mAh battery with 60W SuperDart fast-charging support.

Realme 9 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further by installing a microSD card.

Realme 9 Pro 5G comes with dual SIM support and runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of Realme UI. The smartphone features a 6.6-inch full HD+ LCD display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

The 5G smartphone flaunts a triple rear camera with 64MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle lens and 2MP macro shooter. On the front, users will get a 16MP selfie shooter.

Realme 9 Pro 5G houses a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W Dart Charge support.
