Reliance Industries will have its 44th AGM (Annual General Meeting) on August 29. The video conference of the event will be broadcasted starting at 2 PM that day. Now, at this event, we will get to learn about dividends and other financial declarations as well as forecasts for FY22. However, since the company’s bigger push into telecom and other technologies, we are expecting announcements around the same.

The most anticipated announcements are  Jio 5G plans and a 5G smartphone from the Jio Phone series.

Jio 5G tariff plans

Jio was the top bidder in the Indian 5G spectrum auction. It has acquired about 24,740 MHz spectrum costing ₹88,078 crores. It also bought the pricey 700MHz in all 22 circles. In case you are wondering why, know that this band is said to offer a 5-10 km coverage.

The brand has also got its hands on the 800MHz band, 1899MHz band, and 3300MHz band.

So, now we wonder how it prices the 5G tariff plans. We may get at least some breadcrumbs at this event.
