Reliance Jio 5G update: Full list of Oppo smartphones that will get the service soon – Times of India

Reliance Jio and Oppo have (November 15) announced that the two companies have collaborated to enable the Jio standalone (SA) network on a number of 5G-ready smartphones across categories. Oppo smartphone owners will now be able to access the Jio True 5G experience in select cities. The Chinese technology company also announced that any phone that Oppo launches in India from now will be both NSA and SA network enabled.
Oppo has started rolling out software updates on their 5G-enabled smartphones which include Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8 Pro, Oppo Reno 7, Oppo F21 Pro 5G, Oppo F19 Pro+, Oppo K10 and Oppo A53s. Users of these phones can now experience Jio’s True 5G in cities where the network is available. Other models will be enabled for the SA network shortly, Oppo says.
Jio True 5G is claimed to be one of the most advanced next-generation of wireless network technologies. The company’s Standalone Architecture of 5G offers zero dependence on 4G network, low-latency, 5G Voice, Network Slicing, M2M and edge computing. As per the company, Jio users can experience speeds between 500 Mbps to 1Gbps on their smartphones.
Jio bought the largest mix of 5G spectrum (700MHz, 3500MHz and 26GHz) in India. The company is the only operator with 700MHz, called the golden spectrum band, to ensue indoor coverage for all Jio users

In October, Jio announced the Beta trial of its True 5G services in October in six cities. Jio True 5G network was initially available in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai and Nathdwara with the Jio Welcome Offer.
Recently, the company expanded the reach of Jio True 5G in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The service provider has also announced a Welcome offer for users in the two cities. Users in these cities can experience Unlimited Data at up to 1Gbps+ speed at no additional costs. The telco has over 425 million users.
