Reliance Jio launches its first laptop in India: Price, specifications and more – Times of India

JioBook, Reliance Jio’s first-ever laptop, is now official. The company announced that it will launch the laptop at the India Mobile Congress 2022 and now it is listed on the company retail website Reliance Digital. Previous reports have suggested that the JioBook will be available to schools and government institutes from October itself.
JioBook price in India, availability
The JioBook has been priced at Rs 15,799 and is now available for purchase in India. However, it could take about a week for the company to deliver the laptop to you.
JioBook launch offers
Customers can purchase a JioBook and get up to Rs 5,000 instant discount by making a transaction via credit and debit cards of certain banks. There is 10% instant discount with a number of banks’ credit and debit cards.

JioBook price specifications
The JioBook sports a 11.6-inch HD display with 1366×768 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the laptop gets an octa-core Qualcomm processor. The company hasn’t mentioned the model of the processor clocked at 2GHz on Reliance Digital. The processor is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The laptop will get an embedded SIM which offers 4G LTE connectivity. For SIM activation, a customer needs to visit a Jio Store with ICCID (SIM number), complete his/ her KYC and choose a data plan. JioBook Box label has the information of the associated SIM/ICCID number.
The JioBook gets a 5000mAh battery and is claimed to offer over 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. Jio says that the laptop comes with noiseless and fanless function and offers minimal heat emission.
The laptop will run JioOS, which the company says has been optimised to be lightweight for superior performance. It also gets the JioStore which offers a rich repository of apps, content and productivity tools. Connectivity options on the laptop include 4G and Bluetooth 5.0. Ports on the laptop include an HDMI mini port, and Wi-Fi. It gets dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 2-megapixel web camera.
