Reliance JioBook launched in India through Government e-Marketplace: Know price and specs | Digit

A few days after spotting it at IMC 2022, and a day after the report of it costing around ₹15,000, the JioBook is finally here. Well, Reliance Jio chose to release quietly without much pomp and show and its price is different. Folks over at 91Mobiles Hindi found it listed on the Government e-Marketplace priced at ₹19,500. We also get a look at Jio’s first-ever laptop’s design and specifications. Here, feast your eyes:

JioBook specs and features

Starting off with the display, the JioBook has got an 11.6-inch HD display (TN panel with LED backlighting) sporting a 1366×768 resolution and anti-glare properties. On the front, there is an HD webcam as well.

Internally, the Jio netbook is housing Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, Adreno 610 GPU, 2GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 32GB eMMC storage (with microSD expansion support).

The software given is called JioOS and we aren’t sure if it is Android based. You get with it some pre-installed apps like the Microsoft Ad browser, and there is also support for Jio Cloud PC.

For connectivity, there is 4G support, a USB-A 2.0 port, a USB-A 3.0 port, an HDMI port, WiFi ac, and Bluetooth 5.0. The battery life isn’t clear. The listed battery size is 55.1 to 60 AH and it could endure up to 8 hours. Among other things, you are also getting a dual speaker setup, a dual integrated mic setup, and a standard no-backlit keyboard. All of these come in a plastic chassis with the Jio logo on the lid.

JioBook has been priced at ₹19,500, although this has been listed as an offer price tag. It was spotted at Government e-Marketplace (GeM). There appear to be only 10 units in stock as per the above screenshot. We will update you if we gain more information about the Jio laptop.
