Samsung Galaxy A13 5G receives Android 13 update: All the details

Samsung is gradually releasing the latest Android 13 update to all of its smartphones. The South Korean company has started rolling out the Android 13 based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy A13 5G smartphone in several European countries. Recently, the smartphone maker rolled out the same update for the mid-range Galaxy F42 smartphone in India.

The Galaxy A13 5G’s Android 13 update comes with firmware version A136BXXU2BVK3. The security patch for November 2022 is included in the update which will also bring the device to One UI 5.0. Currently, it is being rolled out in Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the UK. The new update may be made available in other countries within the coming few days.

Galaxy A13 5G users in the countries mentioned above, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Then, go to the Software Update tab.
  3. Tap on the Download and install button.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy A13 5G with Android 11-based One UI Core 3.1.1 onboard in December 2021. The device received the Android 12-based One UI Core 4.1 update in June. The device might receive one more Android OS update in the future after the Android 13 update.
What One UI 5.0 offers
The One UI 5.0 gives users access to up to 16 pre-set colour themes based on their wallpaper and 12 additional colour options for their home screens, icons, and quick panels.
The new user interface offers reorganised menus that make it simple to access all ringtone volumes and vibration intensities. For the first time, Galaxy users will also be able to customise their preferred language for the various apps they use.
One UI 5.0 also adds a new dashboard that allows users to check the security status of their phone, identify any security flaws, and offer solutions.
