Samsung is rumoured to be working on a more affordable 5G offering in the A-series range, called the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G. This new information has been dug up by GalaxyClub and suggests that Samsung is reportedly working on what could be its cheapest 5G phone yet, beating the Galaxy A22 5G. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G will succeed Samsung’s Galaxy A12. The Galaxy A12 was launched earlier in 2020 followed by a version with Exynos processor-powered model and provides a budget product under the A-series line. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G with model number SM-A136B will undercut the Galaxy A22 5G when launched. Thus we can expect the price range to be around the Rs 13,000 mark.

Samsung Galaxy A12 5G specifications

Samsung’s rumoured Galaxy A13 5G will be the successor to the Galaxy A12, whose Exynos powered model was launched in India last month. The Galaxy A12 is a budget offering from Samsung. The device is offered with an Helio P35 processor from MediaTek or with Samsung’s very own Exynos 850 chipset. The MediaTek powered unit was paired with 4GB RAM + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB model.The smartphone supports the expansion of storage of up to 1TB via a micro-SD card.

The Galaxy A12 gets a 6.5-inch HD+ panel and a waterdrop notch houses the front 8MP camera. The rear gets a 48MP main camera, a 5MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP macro camera. The Galaxy A12 also hosts a healthy serving when it comes to the battery with a 5000mAh capacity and 15W fast charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, support for 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type C port. The device uses OneUI skin on top of Android 11. 

At launch the Galaxy A12 (Exynos) was priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model and Rs 16,499 for the 6GB + 128GB version.
