NEW DELHI: It appears that consumer electronics giant Samsung is on a smartphone launching spree. Earlier this week, the company launched Samsung Galaxy A22 smartphone and now it is gearing up to launch its 5G variant.
Samsung has confirmed that it will launch the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G smartphone in India on July 23. The company took to Twitter to announce the launch date. The company tweeted, “Gear up for lag-free, real-time gaming on 5G. 11 band 5G network support of #GalaxyA225G will guarantee uninterrupted 5G access. Just 2 days to go. Stay Tuned. #Samsung.”

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G (expected price)
According to a recent online leak, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A22 5G smartphone in two variants — 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. The company is expected to price the 6GB RAM variant at Rs 19,999, while the 8GB RAM variant is said to cost Rs 21,999. To recall, Samsung launched the 4G variant of the same smartphone at Rs 18,499.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specifications
Samsung has already launched the Galaxy A22 5G smartphone in Europe. It is expected that the company will launch the same variant in India. The smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G variant offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further by installing a microSD card. The handset runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G sports a triple rear camera setup with 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 5MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP depth sensor. The front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter.
The smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
