NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung is all set to launch its latest Galaxy A-series smartphone in India today. Earlier this week, the company launched Samsung Galaxy A22 in the country and today it will launch the 5G variant of the same smartphone.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy A22 5G smartphone today. It will be a soft launch as the company makes the announcement on its social media channels. The smartphone maker is expected to announce the price and availability details of the smartphone around 12pm today.

Samsung has already launched the Galaxy A22 5G smartphone in the European market last month. It is expected that the company will launch the same variant in India today.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specifications
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 128GB internal storage. Users can add more storage to the handset by installing a microSD card.
This new mid-range smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI. Samsung Galaxy A22 5G sports a 6.6-inch full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate.
The dual SIM smartphone comes equipped with a side mounted fingerprint sensor. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
For imaging duties, Samsung Galaxy A22 5G sports a a triple rear camera setup with 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 5MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP depth sensor. The front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter.

According to rumours, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will come in two variants — 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. The company is expected to price the 6GB RAM variant at Rs 19,999, while the 8GB RAM variant is said to cost Rs 21,999. To recall, Samsung launched the 4G variant of the same smartphone at Rs 18,499.
