Samsung Galaxy A34 5G specs leak: Where are the upgrades?
TL;DR
- Samsung Galaxy A34 5G specs have purportedly leaked online.
- The specs point to an extremely minor upgrade over last year’s phone.
We saw apparent Galaxy A54 specs leak online earlier this week, showing a phone with a chipset upgrade but a very familiar proposition otherwise. Now, the same source has dished out what appears to be Samsung Galaxy A34 5G specs.
Frequent tipster Yogesh Brar has posted Galaxy A34 5G specs on Twitter, and you’re going to have to try really hard to figure out what’s new compared to the Galaxy A33 5G. We’ve got the same middling Exynos 1280 chipset, a similar 6.4-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED panel, and the same 5,000mAh battery and 25W wired charging combo.
Other features in common with the older phone include 128GB or 256GB of storage, an IP67 rating, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. In saying so, Samsung will apparently offer 6GB to 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB to 8GB of RAM seen on the older phone. This is a welcome upgrade and should result in improved multitasking on the base model.
Otherwise, the Galaxy A34 5G is also tipped to arrive with a triple rear camera system, namely a 48MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP secondary shooter (likely ultrawide), and an unnamed 5MP tertiary sensor. This differs slightly from the Galaxy A33 5G, which also offered a 2MP depth sensor. You’re still looking at a 13MP selfie camera up-front.
All in all, it looks like the new phone is nearly identical to the Galaxy A33 5G in terms of the spec sheet. So you might want to consider the older phone at a discounted price instead.
This isn’t the only Galaxy A34 5G leak in recent days, as we previously got an apparent look at the phone and four cool colorways. These color options are Lime, Silver, Violet, and Graphite.
