Samsung Galaxy A51 receives February 2022 security update

Samsung Galaxy A51 is getting a security patch update for the month of February, 2022. The company is rolling out the firmware version A515FXXS5EVA1 that comes with multiple privacy and security features along with the Android security patch. The firmware also brings general bug fixes and overall device stability improvements.

As reported by Sammobile, the update is currently available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay. It is expected to roll out in other countries over the next few days.

Those interested can check the update manually by heading to the Settings app on their Galaxy A51. Here look for software update and tap on Download, if the update is available on your device.

Samsung Galaxy A51 is equipped with a 6.5-inch full HD+ 1080 x2400 pixels Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. The phone comes powered by Samsung Exynos 9611 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. The handset packs 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

On the camera front, the handset comes equipped with a quad-rear camera setup of 48MP primary lens, a 5MP depth sensor, a 5MP macro lens and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. Available camera features include Super Steady Video, UHD recording and AR Doodle. For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with a 32MP camera at the front.

The smartphone runs One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 operating system and is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charge support.
