Android 13 is slowly finding its way onto more devices. Although the stable version is still out of reach for a lot of Android phones, betas of the update have been rolling out for the last few weeks. Now a beta version has a new home on the Samsung Galaxy S20.
Back in August, Samsung started rolling out a beta for its One UI 5 update, which is based on Android 13, to Galaxy S22 phones. Since then, it has gradually been opening up its beta program to its older devices including the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A52. Now Samsung is letting Galaxy S20 owners in South Korea join the party.
Before you can begin enjoying what Android 13 has to offer, users will first have to sign up for the beta program. If you reside in the region, you can enroll in the program through the Samsung Members app. According to XDA Developers, when you enter the app, all you have to do is click on the beta announcement banner. After registration is complete, you should receive an OTA update for the One UI 5 beta.
The One UI 5 beta features all of the improvements found in Android 13. Additionally, it will also contain changes that Samsung made for the Galaxy S22, like new color options, dynamic themes, stackable widget support, and more.
As Galaxy owners patiently wait for the rollout of the stable version of One UI 5, they can take solace in knowing that they aren’t the only Android users waiting for Android 13. In fact, Nothing Phone 1 users just found out they’ll have to wait until the end of the year to get an Android 13 beta on their devices.
